This is a specialty nail designed to be much more resistant to hurricane force winds and the shaking of the wood around the nail caused by earthquakes. The testing numbers showed up to 2 times the resistance to high winds rated for hurricane wind conditions and gusts up to 170 MPH and up to 50 percent more resistance to earthquake.
